Tyrannitar Question

I'm level 38, I have one T-Tar B/SE 91% at level 30. I also have a level 20 T-Tar IT/C 89% from a raid.

I have 67 candies which is just enough to get my 2nd T-Tar to level 30 (after I change IT to B) or get B/SE to level 35.

Should I power up the second T-Tar to level 30, or power up my B/SE T-Tar to level 35?

Do you want to solo Alakazam or just contribute better for high end raids? What the raid situation for you?

I'd like to start soloing level 3s, I'm just nervous about wasting a pass. I also want to be prepared for legendaries.

Against Alakazam I already have:

-Gengar: SC/SBall 82, lvl 30
-Gengar: SC/SBall 64, lvl 30
-Gengar: H/SBall 100, lvl 30
-Scizor: FC/XS 91, lvl 30
-Houndoom: S/FB (willing to use TM for FP) 78, lvl 30
-Tyrannitar: B/SE 91, lvl 30
-Dragonite: DT/O 91, lvl 39
-Dragonite: DT/H 62, lvl 39

Not sure what the optimum squad would be for soloing an Alakazam, but I'm willing to invest in B/C Tyrannitar.

I do not think I would have ever soloed Alakazam without two B/C Tyranitars FWIW.

The Gengar are good but if he's all psychic you have a propensity to die without charges dropped which is all you're really trying to do to max your DPS

And that's not counting legendary use although both will be great for them. There are other rock mons with rock quick moves and as much as I hate to say it with two maxed B/SE Tyranitar I might shoot for maxing the crunch first since he's vital for soloing Alakazam right now.

If someone wants to solo raids is it better to have one maxed attacker or several 30s?

Personally I'd like to be able to solo level 3s too, although I'm not sure what level ballpark my Pokemon need to be in order to do so.

That's a very situational question depending on what you're fighting. In general it's better to have more direct counters but if your lineup doesn't guarantee a win it's no good anyway. To cover multiple movesets for many mons you need multiple maxed counters. But if you have no good counter your screwed too

In some cases an decent all lv 30 crew will be fine for certain movesets on certain mons but tough or impossible with other movesets.

I think you are probably better off with a good stable of level 30 mons then a couple of single very high level ones. I would fast TM the second, power it to level 30 and start getting the candy for a third.

you could also hold off and see if your next acquisition is better.

i am aiming for 6 tar hopefully 3 B/C and 3 B/SE (half way there)
golem have 6 Rt/(Se/Rb) and just need dust
