Should raid bosses be labelled 'time out risk' and 'power risk'?

Of all those souls who try to solo Level 3 gyms, there seem to be two groups of raid bosses that one needs to be aware of:
1. The 'time out risk' ones- simply with the best counters there doesn't seem to be time. Jolteon and Flareon come to mind. The 'not as good' attack stat and/or movesets of Ground/Rock/Water pokemon are the issues here.

The 'power' ones- something like Machamp and Dynamic Punch. I've went into the battle with 2 zams, espeon and 3 egg men. All of them perished on my first run. I needed another dude to help me out and I switched to hurricane dragonites and gengars (double resist fighting)

Would this be useful information to aid players who have not experienced all the raid bosses yet?

Would be nice to break down the move-sets and match-ups for the Raid Bosses. I'm like 0/4 right now on trying to solo stuff. 22k Flareon, 17k Gengar x2, and 22k Alakazam. Honestly, I just need to pump up certain mons just a little more and try again and I think I could beat all of them again except the Flareon.

Here are some things I've learned:
If you have a SC/SB Gengar, it's so good at the Kamikaze technique for some match-ups to get you over the hump. Even at low-levels I found myself shocked at how much damage they were doing.
Also, Tyranitar is awesome to have in a lot of the match-ups that are more difficult. I really wish I have a B/SE one too, I only have 1 with B/C at like 3K

No. They are all a risk of either when soloing.

Right. Whichever risk you are running is based on the attackers you use not the particular boss for lv 3s.

But for the cases I made, the boss does lean to a particular risk of time out or overpowering your squad. Machamp with DP and Alk with Confusion are good examples of completely taking out your squad, as the mons you are forced to use for any hope of soloing it are not the tankiest (Dragonite is a sub-optimal matchup in both of these, if not all raid bosses in general, so there is no such 'tankier' attacker. Maybe Tyranitar is an exception for fighting Alk/Gengar but definitely not Machamp)

More examples here:

Vaporeon is never going to overpower any decent attacking squad. Time-out is the bigger factor in vaporeon.

Similarly Flareon is not going to roast any potential attacker. Time out is the bigger factor. Note Rhydon and Vaporeon, both have tremendous bulk and resists fire, especially since it is a 0.7 multiplier now.

You made me feel better, LOL. After doing quite well against vaporeon with exeggutor with SB counters (the first attempt, I came very close, but lost time swapping out the d'nites I had brought. I was going to try again with 6 eggy, but two other players joined me at this point so I don't know if it would have worked. Don't get me wrong, I was grateful for the help, but I will try vape solo again).

Tonight though, I was humiliated badly and put in my place by a jolteon. I didn't even come close, although I had recommended counters ( e.g., rhydon with EQ). I won't try that again without backup!

I guess I'm not such a high level trainer after all ;)
