Dodging during raids

I have found this very difficult, because the usual flash is absent. Worse, it doesn't seem to be necessary, so why bother? Either you have a lot of people and the boss goes down quickly, or you have barely enough and it is a race against the clock, and dodging just wastes time. I am disappointed by this aspect of the game, because with the old gyms dodging was a skill you really needed to develop.

Has anyone found dodging useful or even possible consistently during raids?

I think most players at least try to dodge charge moves.

I have never focused on the flash, mainly check their pattern. they usually stop for a moment and i'm like i'll miss 2-3 quick moves to make sure i do not take that charged attack. with the higher tiers even if it is resisted it still does enough damage to make me panic.

This. All of this.

And I dodge charge moves constantly. I have no choice as my area is not so terribly active and if I didn't I have no one to gift me a Pokemon that I cannot beat for lack of skill in terms of the 3* soloable pokes.

I probably should but I don't try to dodge anything. There's usually only 2 of us, and we're fighting against the clock on level 3s. So I simply spam my moves until the boss faints. I got to the 5th mon on my team only once. It's not the most potion-efficient method, I know. But dodging takes precious seconds and breaks my momentum.

I don't dodge at all...Reason being is getting hit and losing HP builds up your energy faster...

In a large group, you will never run out of time...In a small group, you will normally time out.

The only time I can see dodging is if you are about to get enough energy for a charge move, but not dodging will knock you out and you won't be able to use it...

You want to maximize DPS since you get more premier balls to catch the mon with afterwards. Dodging will generally lower your DPS.

It is hard to see charge moves coming in the raids ... I just guess when it comes based on the last time it was used ... but since your fighting the clock more then whatever Mon in front of you... I usually am fine with them hitting me a few times with there charge move ...but it depends on how charged my bar is ...

ikr, it's super difficult to dodge during raid fights when many people are fighting at as the same time.

i think the strategy should depend on how many people are about to fight. If u're solo/duo then glasscannons are fine, but when fighting as a crowd then u need pokemons with durability.
