To you Pokemon aficionados, are any of the important Pokemon weak or double weak to rock or ground?

I'm not familiar the games so I'm not really sure which to look at in the list.

Rock does extra damage to ice, fire, flying and grass. anything here with 2 types, rock is double super effective against.

So besides a few legendaries which we don't know how or when they'll get implemented into the game, not really.

Ground is super effective against fire, electric, poison and rock, so anything in the below list that has both types is double super effective against - only Magcargo has a double weakness to ground across all of Gen 1 and 2.

Rock isn't double super effective against a Grass + Bug type pokemon.

The two lists filter out only pokemon that only have typing that are weak against them, and there isn't a way to only display dual type pokemon.

You could make a list showing all the possible combinations of pokemon that would be double weak to rock but that'd require 6 searches which would take longer (Bug/Flying, Bug/Fire, Bug/Ice, Flying/Fire, Flying/Ice, Fire/Ice) and it's not like there's so many results in one list that you can't just look at the ones that have dual typing.

I thought maybe Pokemon veterans would know which upcoming Pokemon would be likely contenders to be top tierish and if they are weak to either off the top of their head.

Not just double effective, but effective too. If its a "top" Pokemon.

Well Ampharos looks to be the first actually decent electric pokemon that you could consider placing in a gym.

Crobat's got decent stats all around, hopefully that becomes useful.

Houndoom's got good max CP. Tyranitar is going to have the highest max CP if the CP formula is the same, and it's Rock/Dark. That'll probably be the new Dragonite of Gen 2. Hopefully fighting types get a better quick move than Low Kick or Karate Chop.

Most people probably have multiple Vaporeons that the new Eeveelutions might not do much to dilute the number of Vaporeons, which might mean Fire types still might not be viable to put in gyms, so that'll affect the effectiveness of Rock/Ground attackers.

Magneton has a double weakness to ground as well (you forgot Steel in your list).

You're right, was looking at the gen 1 resistance chart on the pokemon wiki.
