Abra question

If they ever do a buff, it will be soon with the gen 2 update.Electrics and fighting moves would be likely candidates. Maybe abra and semi rare "fast" mons, but not as likely. Go ahead and do 97 iv though! Better safe than sorry I suppose.

I'd evolve the 97% iv abra. Better iv and if theres ever a buff alakazam may be useful later on.

97%. IVs make a bigger difference on pokemon with lower stats, like Alakazam with his low stamina. He's bad enough already so you'll need all the IVs you can get, just to make him even slightly usable.

For example a Lv 30 Alakazam with 0 stamina IV has 80 HP, while one with 15 stamina has 91 HP, which is a 13.75% increase in HP, which should result in a similar increase in damage dealt before fainting.

While a Lv 30 Snorlax with 0 stamina IV has 234 HP, and one with 15 stamina has 245 HP, which is only a 4.70% increase in HP.

Id evolve the abra to a kadabra and favorite it and keep it like that until it becomes useful as a alakazaam. Otherwise keep evolving low iv abra's and transferring them for XP.
