Golem X Rhydon as Charizard counters
Gamepress is updating the pokémons that can be bosses, so Golem is listed as a supreme counter with almost all his moves (lacking ancient Power as far as i can remember) while rhydon is listed as as good counter. I can't understand why would mud slap/Stone Edge Golem be supreme and mud slap/Stone Edge rhydon not. Is There an explanation or the site is still updating It?

To answer your question: I speculate based on experience, but it's the fact that golem has faster moves. Let me give my experience.
Today is the first time I tackled an arcanine solo and my first try was my army's of rhydons with MS/Eq which sounds great on paper, he does SE and resists all of his movesets and while it does high dmg, it's not a fast combo. I lost the first try but it's not because arcanine killed all of my Pokemon, I was on my 5th rhydon, but time went out! So it's a race against the clock. I didn't realize this at first then after the third try I decided to use my golem first (rock throw, stone edge) and I noticed I did better. Still lost, but closer.
Then I looked for my other double rock golem and maxed it out on the spot and put them both first and lo and behold I defeated the arcanine. It's not so much power as it is time. To me the faster moves are doing much better for me in my experience. I agree rhydon hits harder but golem hits faster. And that's why he's a great counter and also why I will be looking for another double rock golem.
