Battery Problem after Raid Update

Has anyone had experience with insane battery drain after the raid update? It feels like the catch-pokemon screen doesn't consume much battery, but if I stay at the main map, the battery becomes crazy, maybe due to the continuous popping up of the raid alert? Anyone?

Most definitely. I even bought an external battery a while ago because Pokemon Go is such a power hog. But yesterday after doing about 7 raids, my external battery couldn't keep up, either. I finished my last raid last night with about 17% battery remaining.

Yes. And I will add that the battery drain of this app is RIDICULOUS. I mean even just scrolling through your pokemon at home will eat battery like Garfield eats lasagna. It's stupid bad programming.
