Probably - I find Lapras more of a difficulty in a gym than Dragonite.

Yes but Snorlax can deal with more damages so it takes more time to kill it, plus higher Cp. So I feel like snorlax is more annoying for high lol attackers than lapras

Who's to say? It's the whole Rochambeau of Pokemon. Vaporeon makes short work of Snorlax. Venusaur makes short work of Vaporeon. Charizard makes short work of Venusaur. Snorlax makes short work of Charizard.

I have a Butterfree that destroys Exeggutors.

That's kind of their point...what makes quick work of Lapras? When you look at both offense and defense, I would say Lapras, Snorlax, and Slowbro are the top 3.

The attacker ALWAYS has the advantage, but neither Lapras, or Snorlax have a strong counter, such as an ice pokemon to Dragonite.

Slowbro with confusion/ice beam hits everything hard, including Dragonite, and it's most common counters.

Offensively, Slowbro with water gun/psychic is very strong and with ice beam it is one of the best counters to Dragonite.

Snorlax is the worst on offense because neither lick or zen headbutt get STAB. His bulk makes him a viable attacker.

Lapras is arguably the best attacker of the 3 because it can easily take out a few Dragonites and grass types. It is also a good counter to Snorlax. Unlike psychic on Slowbro, ice attacks are resisted by much of the meta, which would be the one down side.

Everything has a weakness, but it is hard to argue against Lapras.

Jolteon is a joke. I love my 1800 cp Jolteon, but Jolteon is hardly a counter to Lapras. Jolteon just doesn't have the bulk. Sure, you can do it if you just dodge everything, but if you just dodge everything, ANY pokemon is a counter. My Machamp is a much better option than Jolteon.

The very last thing I said is everything has a weakness and I also said the attacker always has the advantage. Obviously there are pokemon that can beat a Lapras, but I would call Arcanine an "efficient" pokemon. You are forced to use a pokemon that does neutral damage, and it still takes 3 fire blasts to KO it. That is a very strong argument for Lapras.

I agree that OVERALL Lapras is the best pokemon available at the moment.

On offense, he is great, fb/blizzard is punishing especially against dragonites that are so prevalent as defenders due to their high cp positioning (less so since the gym changes).

On defense, he realistically has no counter. Sure an arcanine does relatively well but he doesn't demolish a lapras. Jolteon is not a real counter because Jolteon is just too squishy and underwhelming to stay in there with a Lapras. A few auto attacks and a couple of ice beams or 1 blizz landing means its pretty much game over for Jolteon.

I think Snorlax doesn't come close to being better because Snorlax is underwhelming offensively. I feel like even with lick/HB snorlax's damage is gimped. It takes a while to kill anything and although he has the stamina to stay in the fight, this just ends up making him a high potion usage pokemon. Defensively though Snorlax is amazing.

I say its Dragonite. Its got its weaknesses but its easy to get candies and build up. Overall all the movesets are usefull. DB is one of the most efficient attacks in the game especially with DC. With its high CP and SW/DP it great on defense as well. Lapras rarity also contributes to Dragonite value.
Lapras is a weak attacker overall and Blizzard is the easiest charge move to dodge in the game.
TBH anything is easy to kill in the gyms if you have 2500 cp counters with best movesets.

Lapras isn't good at my city, Growlithe spawns a lot, so everyone has several high CP Arcanines. I think the most overall best Pokemon here is Dragonite
