3 more changes and game is perfect

increase gym spots 6 -----> 10 and make fights little bit easier to compensate time used to take down gym

- there is so many players who need spots

make pokemon return to the owner if motivation drops zero

- there will be less attacking on gyms and in dominant areas getting your pokemon back is hard

currently over 3k pokemons lose motivation faster, i think they should cancel this effect or make all pokemons lose cp in same rate as 3k pokemons

  1. Fix all the lags that make the game onpletely Unplayable.
^This seems like the most important and propaedeutic.

Prestiging can also restore a Pokémon motivation, when it is full, you can earn another spot just for you.

2
Motivation drops to zero does not mean CP 0, it will be capped at CP 10, you will have to beat this extremely weak Pokémon once to kick it out of the gym.

3
I don't think this is a good idea, but they can curve the drop rate of motivation, for example:
100% for below 1500 CP
110% for between 1500 and 2000 CP
120% for between 2000 and 3000 CP
130% for above 3000 CP

100%=10 CP drop per minute, 1% of motivation dropped and motivation can reach below 0
110%=11 CP drop per minute, 1.1% of motivation dropped and motivation can reach below 0
And so on.

This may not be the best opinion, but making them the same rate is just punishing low level trainers.

  1. But they increased the number of gyms, and fewer spots should encourage fighting. If spoofers somehow are removed, who occupied like 75% of all places before, I doubt we need more. If anything, they should give rewards per Pokémon defeated to stimulate action.
  2. Currently motivation drops so slowly over time, it does not even need feeding, Rewards should be returned per Pokémon-in-gym per day (if not defeated) or upon return. The per day rate/cap should be 10 coins/Pokémon. For less than 10 hours stay the rate should be 1 coin per hour for that Pokémon.
  3. It should be a fixed 10% CP decrease per hour. Such that it goes 3000-2700-2430-2187-1968-1771-1594-1435-1291-1162-1046-941-847 over 12 hours.
This would keep berries meaningful (not just to compensate for fights).

Definitely should have fixed lag/bug issues before even messing with this update. Now, the "dodge bug" has turned into the "switch out," "charged move," "did it faint or did I faint," and the "are we just going to stare at each other" bug.

1) current system with 10 mons is a bad idea, if full health, it would take forever with the battle animations, glitches, beating 10 mons 5 times each.

2/3) I disagree with the coin system/motivation loss without battling all together.
I don't know about someone else, but a sense of pride comea with putting in a high CP ________. Not talking about the former "big 7." Just anything above level 30. Lets say a 2500CP Jolteon, and I would want everyone to see this Jolteon, but by the time someone sees, or battles, it could be a 2200 CP Jolteon, which is, of course, obtainable with ease. If he didn't drop automatically, I would know at least someone saw him at his full potential.
Coins, I don't care about the cap, but it does affect gameplay. This morning had a Blissey return to me that i put in a gym Friday night. Got 50 coins first thing this morning, now I have no incentive to go out for gyms. And that is the real downfall of the system. 1 mon = 50 coins, before it took 5 mons. But in some areas 5 mons = 0 coins, instead of 50, because of high turnover rate.

Summary:
No loss of motivation while stagnant, and instead of waiting for mons to come back, how about we get "paid" the same rate (1 coin per 10 minutes)* while they are in there... direct deposit in other words.

*not sure of the rate, and dont care, i get 50 in the morning

A few comments on the things that you suggested... which may I point out were all things that benefit YOU not players as a whole necessarily.

1) I guess with the update they figure that gyms will free slots faster and that they curbed bots/spoofers so more slots should open anyway. I have yet to see if more spots are free overall yet, so that is speculation on my part if there is any less bots/spoofers. They could just add more gyms. Either way your solution leaves much to be desired.

2) Are you saying you have issue with your pokemon staying in a gym for a long period of time? That has got to be the opposite complaint I usually see.

3) This would punish all lower level and casual players. This suggestion is the main reason I commented on how these changes benefit you mainly.

Just one change needed. Keep the gyms as they are with 50 coins cap on defense. Add a reward of 10 coins for taking out a gym with a cap of 50 coins, so total cap will be 100 coins, 50 on def 50 on attack. This will encourage attacking gyms and let us cash on def Mons currently stuck in a gym.

I like this.
Except the defense reward cap is already reached by cumulating 8h20 currently, after which any stay is useless. It used to give rewards every 21 hours if Pokémon stayed.

In my village's gym you can be sure you can stay in for 8 hours, even 2 months, so even if this 50 coins/day is actually returned every day, there is no reward to play other gyms anymore, except for attack bonus.

If they keep the "no return = no coins" then it means my local rural gym is devaluated to 50 coins per 2 months instead of 600 coins in the past, and only when it returns on a day when no others return.
