Any thoughts on my first raid? How was yours?
The gym was a 5-minute walk from my house.
Waited 100 seconds for nobody else to join in.
Took 25 seconds to beat a 1165 CP Magikarp.
Awarded 3 Rare Candy as a prize.
Caught a 107 CP Magikarp with 1 Premier Ball.
It was not a wonder. Immediately transferred.
(I have 8 wonder Magikarp and 4 wonder Gyarados.)
Saw another 1165 CP Magikarp raid nearby.
Realised I had no more Raid Passes (and no money).

Depending on where that Tyranitar raid is, and how the Pokemon Go community works in your place. In my city, we have telegram group for different districts, people report 4* raids, so more people know there is a rare raid in somewhere and get to that place. Yesterday I went to a Tyranitar raid near a graveyard, there were like 20 people around here. Today I got to a Lapras raid, it's got over 10 people too.
My first raid was a machamp that I couldn't beat and nobody joined so I was discouraged then I saw an exeggutor down the street and went to fight that and I won and got my rewards. Next day I saw another machamp and wasn't going to fight it then realized I had an alakazam I evolved from a hatched abra with A ranked moveset so I powered him up and fought machamp and won. I was so happy I decided my new goal is to now be able to solo all the level 3 raid bosses. That's a big accomplishment if I do say so myself
Seems cool I wanna do this too, rauds are not too bad but you NEED people, to answer op I did 2 raids an exeggcutor with my gf was fun but really fast for a 2 star and a quillava solo, I needed a good one to evolve it to typhlosion but it had only 80 iv so dissapointed but I couldn't wait and evolved it only to get shadow claw solarbeam lol
I think it's easier to describe my first 2 days of raids...
FYI I'm almost level 38
Day 1: Trying to figure out exactly how the timer worked, I showed up about an hour before it hatched. Once it hatched, my GPS couldn't get me anywhere near it, at a gym where I normally don't have any trouble. The raid was over and people left and I was still trying to get in range. Decided to cut my losses and get to the other raid...The second one was nearly as bad. My GPS couldn't get me in the area AGAIN. I'm starting to think it is my phone (LG G5) because everyone else seemed to be having no problems. So of course I miss out on the main group. It was a level 4 with a Charizard. I sat around waiting for more people to show up. A couple came and we tried it with 3 people, but we kept timing out. Finally, 50 minutes in, we got a 4th person and were finally able to beat it. I did not get any TMs.
Day 2: I find out I missed a cluster of 5 raids. I hurry to try and catch one late. It was a level 4 with Blastoise. Paid my pass and waited for people. No one showed up. I figured I would try my luck and my grass army and barely put a dent in him...so I gave up. On my way home I hit a few raids that I could solo...nothing to write home about...
About 10 raids later I decided to ride my bike down for a level 4 one...I got there about 2 minutes too late, the group had already finished off the Lapras...Just as I entered, just me and one other person, the sky opened up and poured on me, only for a couple minutes, just enough to mess up my battle and soak me...Stood around and chatted with the other person for about 20 minutes and 2 other people showed up. The 4 of us tried it and got crushed. I was stuck in some epic dodge bug/revive loop. I couldn't switch pokemon out, I just kept trying to spam quick attacks while it switched from one pokemon to another. At that point my phone was about to die so I went home.
Near my house there were 3 raids. I soloed 2 and then tried the level 3 Alakazam. I think I could have done it, but it was so buggy. I took his hps down about half way, when all of a sudden we both ended up with full health again BUT WITH NO TIME ADDED BACK. Tried 3 more times, more of the same, gave up.
Decided to take one more try. Went to a level 4 raid with a Rhydon. I was finally in a group that time, so it was really quick. No TM...the guys talked me into going to another one, so we hit another level 1 raid.
My goal was to get ONE TM. Just a single one today. And the results...NONE. 15 raids, not a single TM. I'm almost level 38. I don't need any of the stupid raid pokemon. I don't even give a crap about the rare candies (got 30 of them.) The only thing I care about is TMs...

At this point I'm not even pissed...I was pissed this morning...I'm already over it, like all of it, the whole game. Might try a couple more tomorrow, and if they aren't spectacular, I'm done.
Yeah, we didn't even see the highest level player on my team, and he is always out. I met some Mystic players (I'm Instinct) and joined their chat, and it sounds like half of them are quitting over the gyms.
They were asking how we could help each other out, being on different teams. I told them I wasn't really sure. I said I know how to hurt the other team...either knock all their pokemon out at the same time, or don't knock them out at all. After that, they were like "what's the point in even playing" and they went into other rants about no stardust, ect.
Personally, the way I am getting back at one of the spoofers is to simply not battle his gyms. In fact, I think I will get on my kid's account and feed them berries to make sure they stay in there. Can't collect when your pokemon are in gyms...
A lot of the big time players are going to quit...

It was really bad, I missed the first group because the game was laggy and couldn't get the free raid pass spinning gyms, restarted the game several times and finally got one. However, when I used the pass, I went into another group with 3 people inside, since the battle of the first group had finished and won already. There was NO WAY to beat a Venusaur with only a couple of people!
Note: no one was above level 35.
Yesterday I saw a Bayleef and another pink egg. Waited for the egg to hatch, it turned out to be Magikarp. I've decided to go for the Bayleef, since I needed one and already got a 98% karp. Was pretty late, everyone was already leaving from the Bay.
Ended up soloing it with a Charizard that didn't seem to give a crap about being hit. No dodge, nothing. Caught the Bay (may have 84% or 91% IV), got 2 rare candies, some revives and exp. Planning for my next ones to be a Jolteon and maybe an Exeggutor.
