rural players

It's about time Niantic try to fix rural players problems, by adding spawn points, gyms and pokestops very soon. Do you all think Niantic will fix these problems.

I don't think so. I thougt that was happening when the pokestops started to give a lot of ítems last week but then I knew that it ways just an event and I lost all hope of that problem will be fixed.

It will be totally cool if niantic added some mini game into Pokémon go to play home, not on the streets, and you can earn pokeballs or stardust by winning on those mini games, or maybe something like the glyph on Ingress and be able to get more ítems from a stop

like that idea!
they could also make the golden pokestop badge give +1 item on all stops or smthn like that. doesn't seem a lot but I think it is balanced and will add up over time

Maybe someone who plays Ingress can answer if it's the same there...I assume the devs are the same people? More or less?

Unfortunately I don't think so. I've been waiting for that since game came out and it's been a few months. It would be amazing as I live in a rural area and I have to go to the city to catch more pokemon.

I play in a city throughout the week and return to the rural village where I live on weekends. I would have given up on this game long ago if I had to stick in the village all week. It is just plain boring with such a low number of Poke Stops, gyms and Pokemon spawns - although I know that there exist far worse villages than mine.

It would be nice if Pokestops gave 6 items less 1 for each other pokestop within a 500m radius to a minimum of 3. That way, stops in rural areas or off by themself would be worth visiting. It would also throw rural players a bone.

I agree with all of you. Mini games would be good.

But even in rural areas, the few Pokestops are often close to each other (centered around the church for instance).

Not as much where I live. They are all spread out. Most people live near one; but it's a long way to the next. There's no way to get enough balls for even half of the Mon assuming first-ball catch.
For some reason, Niantic keeps widening the gap between urban and suburban with each update.
