did they change number of gyms to be held as well?

so my understanding is the earn rate went from one per hour to one per 10 minutes and is currently capped at 50 coins per day.
did they also decrease the number of gyms that can be held? because locally last night it was the same three red spoofers in every local gym with a few possibly legitimate players topping them up. And I imagine down the coast it is the same half dozen blue spoofers in every gym with no room for any legitimate players at all.

esp seeing the game for most cheeters is not about coins they have heaps.
it's not about mons they have all of those to.
It's about how many gyms they can occupy.
