Perfect IV & Moves Rapidash

So I got a perfect Ponyta Egg other day. I evolved it. And for the first time (its my 6th Rap) I actually got the perfect moves Ember and Fireblast.

However, a level 20 Egg to a level 30, would cost me 77500 Dust and 68 Candy.

And it would only give me an 1885 Rapadash

And since I'm level 33, I often just random evolve level 30 Eevees just for Gym Bait regardless of IVs. I have for example a 23/45 Level 30 Flareon with same moves and the Flareon has 2113 CP.

Even for Attack Ranges for powering a gym, I have an 1896 Flareon with same moves.

So the dilemma for me, is I have the best Rapidash possible. But even the best Rapidash sucks compared to a mediocre Flareon.

So I cant decide what to do.

I got 2 perfect Ponyta also but they are candies now. Flareon still better. But if you want to use it just for fun then go power up.

If you really like rapidash go and power it up man! But if you want efficiency, dont do it :( you want real fire power? get a good arcanine, that thing is a beast.

i wouldnt power it up, keep it as ur only rapidash, keep enough candy to evolve it but just leave it be
thats what i would do

Keep your rapidash as it is to train your gyms.
Keep the candies in case you'd like to make your rapidash stronger but if I were you I wouldn't do it.
There are too many stronger pokemon to feed.
Moreover fire type is a disaster when it comes to defend gyms. Even arcanine is nothing when attacked by a vaporeon

I actually prefer Rapidash to have low kick. Low kick is quicker and has a better EPS. I also prefer to use mine against Lapras or Snorlax, and low kick is SE against them, so it is the same as having STAB. I would argue that is the best moveset.

With ember as the moveset, I would agree with others. You are better off just using a Flareon.
