Keeping a mon in a gym for too long yield no reward as its 100 coins per day limit.

Imagine wanting your Mon to come home. Don't feed your or your team mate's Pokemon after 4 days.

Does anyone know the rate one gets coins at for having a mon in a gym? Seemed to go very quickly for me.
