Gengar with focus blast 84%

Now that type is more important then stab. Is it true my gengar or alakazam with focus blast will be even more effective then machamps in taking down blisseya and snorlaxes

I have a Alakazam with that move, and it is my pick for Blissey. Every FB takes about a quarter of HP. It will receive a boost from 1.25x to 1.4x. With Gengar you will be more resistant against Dazzling Gleam (compared to A'zam) Pound and Hyper Beam, but weaker against Psychic and Zen Headbutt.

Machamp would still knock out Blissey and Snorlax the fastest. Alakazam would be just behind Machamp and Heracross. Gengar with focus blast KO Blissey as fast as Dragonite.

Floor(½∗Power∗AtkDef∗STAB∗Effective)+1

Machamp Close Combat = 86dps
Floor(½∗100∗(((234+15)0.7317))/((229+15) *0.7317)))∗1.2∗1.4)+1
Machamp Dynamic Punch = 78dps
Floor(½∗90∗(((234+15)

Alakazam Focus Blast = 115dps

Like MajesticOfInsects said, Zen Headbutt, even without STAB by either Snorlax or Blissey, is going to fry gengar. With that said, Gengar resist's Blissey's DG and is immune (double resists) Blissey's Pound & HB as well as Snorlax's BS and HB.

Since both Snorlax and Blissey are immune to ghost, Gengar will benefit from Sucka Punch more than Shadow Claw:
SP = 1.00x
SC = .51{immunity mulitplier} * 1.2{STAB} = .61x

SP does more than 1.5x the amount of SC in these scenarios
