Blissey question # 3million

So i just evolved my first Blissey, i got ZH/HB looking at both attacking and defending tier lists it looks like ZH/DG is best Defender and P/HB is best attacker. Would you use a TM(When they come out) To try and make this an attacker or Defender? Plus is it a Tier 1 attacker purely based off the fact it tanks to then get its charged move?

Attacker, without multiple Blisseys in a row, 1 Blissey can be beaten with even a Poliwrath/Ursaring squad.

"multiple Blisseys in a row"
And how exactly is this comment relevant in the new gym system?

Blissey is a great defender, regardless of moveset, and a horrible attacker. Don't waste a TM on a Blissey.

For attacking, it would depend on the raid...from the sounds of it, you can try again so having all 6 mons survive doesn't seem important right now so it's probably better as a defender...and just focus on high DPS to attack the raid boss.

I'd probably change my ZH/Psychic one to ZH/DG...but Psychic may move back to 2 bars actually so who knows. DG used to suck since it did very low damage. DG has better type coverage than Psychic though. HB maybe good, but it fires less often and most people attack into Blisseys with Machamp I'd think...

I'd consider just leaving it. I have the same blissey, but I also have other mons that need the TM more.

I would not use blissey in a raid battle. She is great for beating most any defender, but it takes a long time. Raids are limited time, so you need much more damage per second than blissey can provide (admittedly this is written without real experience in a pokemon raid battle).

In the time it takes for you to get a TM (I doubt they will be as common as Ultraballs, probably closer to the eve items), we all will know more about how the new gym updates shake out. Today's revelation that STAB is less important and Strengths/Resistances are more important is huge - best defenders will now be mon with fewer weaknesses, so Donphan > Rhydon, Vaporeon > Gyarados, etc. But this is all tentative. We'll have to see exactly how it plays out. So be patient, and wait for more complete information.

Donphan, didn't even think about that but he may be fun as a defender now too.

Heh. :-) I have a close-to-maxed-out Donphan with Counter and Play Rough. I brought him up as a variety defender, to be put in gyms whenever I had ten solid ones. In between, I used him as an attacker against Snorlax. Right now I am pretty happy that I did run a one-of-each-kind strategy in setting up my defender squad. Only my two Rhydons will become obsolete.
