Simultaneously catching pokemon on Pogo+ and my Phone!

Last night I somehow managed to allow my go plus to catch pokemon while simultaneously catching pokemon on my phone (bypassing the usual grace period when the pogo+ stops catching/spinning stops until the manual pokemon encounter is completed/the mon flees) . It WAS AMAZING, especially with the event on at the moment. I don't know how it happened, may have something to with the timing of catching a Mon/spinning a stop while connecting the pogo+, or perhaps turning the location on and off... Does anyone know how to reproduce this/has this happened to anyone else? If not, this needs investigating ASAP!

O_o Did you get two of that pokemon (same level, IVs, and moveset) in your collection? Or just exp for catching it twice? What did your journal say?

No duplicate pokemon catching. Let me clarify: I was able to click a pokemon on my phone, which usually disables the pogo+ from catching pokemon. But this one time, it carried on vibrating and catching/spinning stops in the background while I was still manually catching another pokemon.

Unless I am misunderstanding, that is how it is supposed to work. I have always been able to catch and spin manually while using the plus to catch and spin. You just cannot hit the same pokestop twice, or catch the same pokemon twice.

Usually when you click on a pokemon, your pogo+ stops catching until you have completed the encounter and completed the catch or the pokemon flees. But, this time I was able to catch mons in the background while still throwing a pokeball and catching the mon. It allowed me to catch many more pokemon in a given period than usual.
