Loss of Gym training GPS preventive-trick :0

Trying to train gyms today, I turned off GPS to prevent the 15 minutes ban from the gym...
(The trick to use in gyms located under bridges or similar)
...but even that way, the battle was terminated and I couldn't train it again for the next 15 minutes...

I tried in more than one gym and happened the same. So I think they made also this small, yet terrible, disappointing change.

Did you experiemce the same?
