Sweet Revenge

Yesterday I saw a blue gym being powered up with nobody around so I jumped in and took it down. During the final battle before the gym fell a yellow spoofer jumped into the battle. I dropped my critter into the gym and he dropped a critter in also. While my daughter was looking for which critter of hers to put in the spoofer dropped in the 3rd slot and started powering up the gym. So we waited. As soon as it hit L4 she dropped her cirtter in taking that slot. That spoofer left. Oh it does feel so good to disrupt multi-account spoofers. :D
I guess in order to make this a question... Anyone else get the opportunity to disrupt a spoofer in progress?

There only seems to be one spoofer in my area, and he's actually pretty mild about it. His pokemon are pretty average, and he hits gyms to the same degree as a regular player, so I wouldn't even know he was a spoofer if I hadn't caught him in the act one time.

I saw the gym near my house getting attacked once at like 11:00 at night, so I started walking over, planning to take it back once they were done. But when I got there, nobody was around. The gym is at the edge of a parking lot, with nothing around where anyone could hide, yet the gym was still being attacked, so I waited to see who would claim it once it was done. Level 34 yellow player, and he just stuck a normal defender in. I took it back and pretiged it a couple times, then ten minutes later it started getting attacked again just as I was about to leave. So I prestiged it one more time, so when the guy realized I was still there, he gave up and left it alone.

I've been trying to decide how much it matters if someone spoofs that mildly. On the one hand, he otherwise seems like a regular player, but on the other hand, that is allowing him to hit gyms at times and places that would usually make them very inconvenient, so it does give him some advantage.

Huh, by some odd coincidence, that same guy just happened to kick me out of that gym again right as I was typing this.

You're crabsolutely correct in that even mild spoofing does give advantage. Personally, I believe if one is using means that not everybody has access to, then it gives an unfair advantage and creates for an unfair playing field, like you mentioned regarding accessing gyms at specific times of the day. Granted, if I were in your shoes or were impacted by a player that spoofs mildly, it wouldn't cause the same degree of an internal reaction, such as a spoofer that plays much more frequently with a plethora of blissey's.

At least it's only midly ~~

Say, 1000€ for incubators?

I saw a spoofer with multiple accounts build up gym to 50000 in a matter of minutes.
I screen shot'ed every mon in the gym. I was going to file reports that evening to niantic, but before I could file the reports most of the accounts got banned that afternoon.
Thank you Niantic.

I say, don't fight, let them put their mons in the gym, then report each spoof trainer to niantic.
JUST BE SURE, when you file a report.

I did. Placed my pokemon before he/she can place the third there.
