Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

You’ll earn bonuses for the first Pokémon catch and PokéStop visit each day. You’ll receive a larger bonus when you do this seven days in a row. When you defeat the Gym Leader at a rival Gym, there will be a brief period of time where only you will be able to place a Pokémon in the open Gym. The amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased. The amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered. Minor text fixes

  • Both bonus are cool cause benefits dedicate players.
  • Stopping the gym thiefs was absolutely necessary, specially in a zone full of GPS cheaters like mine.
  • But I dont like the new prestige mechanics. Gyms rotates very often already, and now is more complicate to keep them. Fail.

All good stuff in my opinion. Gyms are dead here. About time they stopped sniping. Wonder if they changed anything else.

1 and 2 are great.
3 is actually bad, training becomes even more screwed (after the 6 pokémon update) and it will even affect bubblestrat. And it won't help attackers neither, because I don't think the prestige numbers are going to change so drastically that it would be actually eficient to take down lvl 10 gym alone.
