Who gets the victor's gym slot where there are multiple attackers on different teams?
Does it go to:
The player who entered battle first? The player who dealt the most damage (and if so does it count overall to all defenders defeated or the final defender)? The player who dealt the killing blow to the final defender? The player with higher level?If anyone knows for certain do please share.

Ah thanks. Now that you mention it, I remember reading that somewhere before but can't remember where.
Reason I asked is that I just got sniped by a level 30 Mystic who joined the final battle with a Golem fighting the last 3100+ Blissey in a level 10 tower I just took down. Sheesh.
Anyway, needless to say the Gyarados he put in has also fallen and the gym is mine now. Ah well.
Yeah, anyone can get the gym if they were in the battle...however, like you just did, taking out someone else's 1 mon is FAR FAR easier than prestiging another 10k to get a friendly gym spot...(or not even possible if it's already level 10).
If anything, you don't want to put anything down so the guy who also was in your battle puts theres, drives to their next gym, while you proceed to knock them out and continue on your gym run.
Very very little harm done in this case...
