is the weather affecting your gym battles?

Here in the UK it's getting cold and dark a lot earlier now. I'm finding that I'm holding onto gyms a lot more easily now! Brilliant!
I'm guessing for those playing in Nordic countries it's even colder and darker, and for those in the Southern hemisphere maybe it's getting too hot to play? I was just interested to know other people's experiences...

Yes, here in Norway everything is frozen right now - including most level 10 gyms.

I think during cold winter will be very difficult to play outside in general.
Maybe gyms battles can still happen, if no rain, or if stay in building/car.

During summer (it was mild one) I played and walked no matter what.
Winter will affect most the distance one walks, in my opinion.

Definitely less gym movement.

I also found that frozen fingers on a rain splattered screen didn't help my hit accuracy trying to do a stardust grind last night.

Yes, definatly less gym fightning during winter.
Easier to hold on for gyms.

Currently I'm holding gyms for weeks even in crowded places like the university or train stations. I will probably never see my Dragonite again ;)

Had a 1700 snorlax stuck at a outdoor fancy museum forever now. I just want to power it up...

Definitely here in Denmark.
Holding on for five gyms now for over two weeks already. Hope to see my snorlax and lapras's again next spring.
I better start collecting tons of stardust and candy to power them up afterwards. :)

I've held onto a level 10 gym for nearly a month now, between the cold weather in Scotland and the fact that the gym is in the middle of nowhere are the main culpritsp. (Also I'm team Instinct which makes this more surprising to me.)
