Victreebel: Acid vs Razor Leaf
I evolved my 93% Bellsprout into a 1433 CP Victreebel and it got acid/solar beam. The optimal attacking moveset has razor leaf. I can understand how it's better given the dps, but from what I see it's marginal.
Would it be a good idea to wait or power it up?

DPS numbers assume neutral damage, which you're probably not going to use victreebel for. you're probably going to want to use victreebel as a counter to water types, so you'd much rather have the grass move which would deal an extra 25% damage, i.e. it's more like comparing 13.33 dps of acid to 18.1 dps of razor leaf (14.48 x 1.25)
while acid is super effective against grass and fairy, are you going to use a victreebel against grass types? probably not.
poison's also super effective against fairy although imo wigglytuffs aren't very common and clefables might have zen headbutt and/or psychic which will deal super effective damage to poison, so you benefit much less from havig a poison type move than a grass type move.
I think most people would just pick a decent pokemon with neutral typing against fairy types, and your victreebel doesn't have sludge bomb, so it's not that good of a poison attacker either.
imo I wouldn't power it, since an 80% victreebel with razor leaf is going to do more dps to water types than your 93% with acid. (80% being the average IV perfection for egg pokemon)
Don't power it up. As androgynous said, Victreebel's purpose is for attacking water mons... and for that, you need it to have both grass moves.
Even if you get Leaf Blade is just almost as good, but both moves needs to be Grass so you can do extra damage to all those Vapes out there.
I have a 93% Victreebel with Leaf/Beam and he melts Vapes and Poliwraths with ease. It's one of my favs mons.
