Have evolution items become less rare?

Saw similar reports on thesilphroad reddit, went outside to test but still nothing after 100 spins :(

I got 3 over a 1 hour period so something changed a little while ago to allow them to pop out more. There are too many reports for this to be simply RNG.

Not sure how long it will last...(or if it stopped already).

Got 2 from normal spins today, nvr had one before.
