dragonite dilemma

folks, a dragonite with 73% iv 1188 cp and dt/o moveset still works to power up and be a great defender too? i only have candys for hatch and in the moment have 84
what you guys think?

He will make an excellent attacker and Blissey counter. He will be handicapped by iv as a defender; but not terrible.
If you want an attacker, power away. If you want a defender, hold off.

Yes.

Once you evolve it though you will only be left with 8 candy to power up. Need a lot more candy which is the hard part to make it relevant defender

yeah, but i mean, if i dont hatch a better iv one, this chansey will be good enough? im waiting to have about 80 candys to do all , evolve and power up

Yeah it's GD enough. A 14 attack stat is badass already. Combined with it's high defense stat, this blissey to be would be a beast!

If it's a lvl 20 (hatched mon) u will need more than 80. 80 would take my 87iv chansey (15 attack) to 2,283CP. I'm waiting till I have 108 candies to evolve, 2,649CP. And this will only sneak me into some of the less competing gyms in my area I'll have to keep walking.

Attack iv is king with Blissey.

I don't agree. I say power up no matter what you want him for whether it's as an attacker or a defender. Dragonites cp is so much higher then most that it really won't affect him much he's still a great attacker and a great defender. Moveset is so much more important than IV with dragonite in my opinion.

Yeah very hard to get that moveset if you have the dust and candies go for it

He will be a fine defender but that IV set may hamper his CP thus making him a little harder to keep in gyms. He will be a devastating attacker though. I would power that one up without a second thought.

Yes power it up and thank the pokemon gods for that moveset. and decent ivs.

He is by far the best attacker in the game. I have 2 Dragonites with DT/OR over 3000cp and I wouldn't place them in a gym because they are so good. For reference, much better than my DB/DC Dragonite.

So personally I would power up to level 30 and use as attacker.

i forget to mension that i have a 91% iv dratini

Doesn't matter power up to at least level 30. Ur 91iv dratini could be a steel wing hyper beam dragonite when u evolve, and then it's useless. U have the best moveset, u have a decent iv. I'd power it up now and worry about that 91iv dratini after u have a high cp DT&O dragonite
