What are you most afraid of for next 'rebalancing'?
Here are my biggest concerns
1. Current move rebalancing
Need I say more, it's probably one of everyone's fears. I certainly do NOT hope Confusion is nerfed as I'm investing in one legacy exeggutor as I speak...other moves that I do not wish to see nerfed are Shadow Claw
I'm a Rhydon, Alakazam and Gengar investor so this will hurt me a bit
HOWEVER, this will also completely invalidate Blissey as a defender if special attack/defense is taken away (or at least weighted less heavily), so that is a big plus!
More new and better moves that completely overshadows old onesSeriously...adding Counter/DP and just invalidating Karate/Cross Chop in machamp was not cool at all
So does Outrage v Dragon Pulse, Overheat v Fireblast, Psychic vs Future Sight...etc

- A "concentration of CP " where all the half assed mons act the same in gyms but Niantic pulls a cop out by narrowing margins. This will result in crap gyms with a laughably diverse group of junk defenders.
- Base stat changes.
Yes. Our Nidokung sucks. He is meant to suck. I know folls that won't put in the hard work others have are bitter at not having a decent high CP defender... but your mon still sucks at defending gyms in this meta . Whether he is Steelix or whatever he isn't a good defender if he isn't Snorlax or Blissey. He does not deserve any gifted placement, he's worse than the Dragonites you complain about as a defender. Build your roster but until you do take your junk mons and go home. They suck.
my biggest fear is that they will leave the boredom and do things that further
1) aggravate team imbalances
2) advantage cheaters esp spoofers.
but aside from that would like to see some re balancing of many of the 2 bar versus one bar moves were in many cases the damage is virtually identical from moves that take half the energy
CC vs DP for instance
or even were a mon has 2 1 bar moves available one of which is clearly superior in every way FS versus psychic (make it 2 bar FFS)
...that I don't have a particular moveset that is made very strong but legacy.
Everytime they have done a move rework, I have managed to have something that is made stronger, but becomes legacy. However, I never got a ZH/BS Snorlax or Dbl rock Omastar - so I hope I have the next 'awesome legacy' covered.
I only fear that the game will be rebalanced even more in favour of spoofers. As for moveset and Cp I don't care. Makes it interesting to have a change but with cheats having such a Hugh advantage why care about moves?
So you loses a few seconds in gym battles due to re balancing or have to invest time into another mon which you would do anyway. The flip side is that you waste hours a day trying to hold a gym that a spoofer takes 10 mins to fill with 10 accounts. Which one holds the most fear?
I'm not worried about what they will do with the moves. In the vast majority of cases, they evened out the movesets of pokemon so that their different movesets perform similarly, or have a defensive purpose (a move that is SE against common counters.) For the most part, the difference is in the cool down times or the energy gained. The stronger moves generally have a longer cool down, which can make the weaker move ideal for dodging. Examples of this would be solar beam vs petal blizzard, and dragon breath vs dragon tail.
For the times when that is not the case, such as fire blast vs overheat, oh well. Not everything in life is fair. If you look at the original games, not every move is equal. If you are frustrated about getting a moveset that isn't ideal, too bad, work on another one. They need to find some way to keep people playing, and in some ways they have done a better job than the Nintendo games. I quit Go for 2 months and got Sun and Moon. Once I created a team that could beat the Pokemon League and Elite 4, I saw no reason to keep trying to get better pokemon. It was the same with the battle tree. In was stupid hard, almost to the point of wanting to quit, to being bored once I found a team to do it. Then there was the leap to competitive battling which is just way too difficult and time consuming for me to be entertained by. That is for only the most hardcore players, not someone looking for a casual hobby for me. Go, however, has managed to keep me entertained, while keeping the difficulty low enough to not discourage people. The gym scene wouldn't be nearly as bad if they could just get spoofing and botting under control.
I think I'm okay to handle move and stat rebalances. I've learned my lesson from the Lapras nerf, which was the one thing that hit me really badly; now I don't power anything up above 30 unless it's gonna be deployed in a gym immediately that I can get a safe 1st-3rd spot in.
What I don't want is for them to make the game any slower, or laggier, or buggier, than it already is. Oh no please no. If they fix all the bugs associated with gym fighting I'll call it a good update, and heck with the so-called "gym re-work" which seems to be a recipe for more bad design choices and which are likely gonna create further imbalances in the game.
I don't see them reweighing CP.
I do acknowledge your third point; I think it is extremely lame how some moves became legacy for the sake of adding new moves that have better damage and more ideal cooldowns (par outrage's cooldown). I would have liked to see the legacy moves have merit in some way, such that people that have already invested in the aforementioned mons don't get screwed over
Big move set balances are disgusting according to me since they completely changes the meta without you being able to predict it whatsoever.
The last CP update was at least predictable, since the CP formula had obvious flaws in it that favored certain types and so on. With that said I don't mind a CP-formula change at all aslong as it makes it closer to the original games and not the opposit.
