Dragonite with SW/OR as prestiger

With a disappointing nest migration, I went back to Dratini farming. Caught four today, which was just enough to evolve my fourth Dragonite.

~2000 CP, SW/OR.

Of course, I will not power him up and will continue Dratini farming until I get DT/OR (or at least DT/Hurr).

That may take some time, so how usable is a SW/OR Dragonite as a generalist prestiger? I know SW is NVE into Vaporeon, but how would it perform against Blissey (and Snorlax) compared to a Vaporeon with WG/HP or an Exeggutor with Conf/Solar (with similar CP)?

I also evolved my 4th nite and got this same set at similar CP... We seem to have the same idea about getting a DT nite, I'm still over 100 candy now so was debating on how long to wait for better one.

I'm going to use it to Prestige Blissey if I need to, Outrage should compensate enough for damage output but untested yet

It stinks that some people can just go "farm" Dratini.
You act like 4 Dratini in a morning is nothing. I average 1 Dratini every 10 or 11 days. So, you just caught 40 to 45 days worth of Dratini this morning.

Well now ckcsonr. Welcome to how fragsman felt in your post when you posed that you evolved 8 garyados and still had 1100 candies. 1100!

So pardon me while I play my tiny violin for you :).

Funny how for some, it's "I haven't seen a good karp in months" while for some of us, it's "I haven't seen ANY karp period..."

...other than the water event...

Seriously, people complain way too much in this game...I have never caught a Dratini in my area and wife played since July and still no Lapra/Dragonite.

At least you will never see me complaining about my ZH/P Blissey and my 500+ Chansey candies...Just power up Dragonites, stick in a gym, collect/win (unless you like in Tokyo/HK/Singapore).

To clarify, there are at least three Dratini spawn points at a canal within walking distance from my house. Due to stop locations, the Dratini never show up on Sightings, so I use SGPokeMap to determine when to rush outside to catch them. (The old in-game tracker, called Nearby, would occasionally show a Dratini and I would know where to head for.)

Ther are better pretiging options out there at the same CP, such as a Poliwrath with DP or Eggy with SB.

I have a SW/O dragonite too and I powered mine up to 31Lvl (3083CP, 88.9% IV). I use it on both offense and defense and it has been wonderful! It has now been in a gym for almost 2 weeks, and before that, somehow earned 1 Battle Won! So in answer to your question, I don't know if it is good as a prestiger, but it is certainly a top tier attacker and defender in my opinion!

In a prestiger you want something that will be better than you'd expect, based on its CP. To hit above CP level ideally you'd have type advantages, a good moveset, and a low attack in relation to defense/stamina. A SW/OR Dragonite meets none of this criteria, unless you count SW without STAB as a good moveset, which is debatable.
