Dragonite questions
I don't come by dratinis very often, when I do I have to go completely out of my way to farm them. I've caught two dragonites in the wild whose movesets+iv make me wanna power them up.
Low iv with DT&O- already powered him up cas honestly idc he's got the best moveset so I brought it to a level 30

MY QUESTION is is it worth it to power him up. He's got a 15 attsck, isn't that the most important star. I have 156 dratini candies but I have never evolved a dratini into a dragonair or a dragonair into a dragonite. My best dratini is a 84IV hatched. The only dratini candies I used was to power up the first one. What's everyone thing

I'm a gambler as well only problem is in this case I don't think it makes sense for me to gamble in this scenario. My gym meta is weak compared to most peoples on here. Dragonites CP is so far above everyone besides Tyranitar that loosing a little bit of IV for a chance to get another dragonite quicker seems smarter. Plus isn't attack most important for his CP and his attscks a 15/15. I have 156 candies I could invest in my current dragonite, and continue to wait for another dratini. If I'm gonna evolve him and waste the candies is 84 really high enough anyhow? 6 points higher then my current dragonites iv? And with all that said I have the 3rd best move out of 6 so there's more than a 50% chance my moves are worst when I do evolve.
In my case in particular I don't think the risk is worth the reward, but I'm looking for some input.
Yes I want to do that eventually too. My point is right now I'm not satisfied with a 84IV dratini when I have a 78IV dragonite with a B moveset. I currently have 156 dratini candies, so you think it's worth it to make dratini my buddy (to start accumulating candies) and in the meantime invest in my dragonite so I have another defender worth 10 coins and 500 stardust a day?
