Is the gym changed?

I saw the Gayrados 2900 CP in the gym yet its CP changes to about 2200 when I had a battle with it. What is this? Is the gym system changed?

If this was while you were training an allied gym, it has been doing that since October.

Yeah I think the "it had DP" thing was misunderstood.

Isn't the CP of a Mon in a gym always adjusted to your Trainer Level?

E.g.
Someone at Traiberlvl 38+ put a max Psiana CP 3000 in a gym, your Trainer Level is 30 - so the Psiana will have only 2636 CP for you.

Your lvl + 1.5 if I remember right, for prestiging.
Whi is Psiana? Espeon?
