Strategy to capture more coins in very competitive environment?

Here gyms change hands in a matter of minutes. On average, I can collect at most 20 coins per daily run. My top 12 pokemons are all over CP3000 which consist of the usual mix of top achievable CP 8 species.

I'd like to seek any input/strategy from those trainers play in similar environment about how to capture more coins per day. Thanks.

Take weekend trips to some less competitive areas and find some gyms you can prestige up and stick a keeper in. I have gyms spread all over, some staying over a month. I just use the local gyms for a 10-20 coin boost when needed.

Biking will enable you to blitz more gyms more quickly... maybe try to stick Blissey/Lax in the gyms you take to give yourself a little more time.

Use gymhuntr.com to find areas dominated by your team

I was just going to post this. Try and find rural areas close to you and watch their gyms for a couple weeks from the site mentioned above. While you wait, try and find a good prestiger for those specific gyms. If they remain unchanged after that time, make the effort to travel to them and get in. I did that, traveled almost 2 hours to get 12 gyms and I still have 8 of them after two months which is equivalent to getting like $60 worth of pokecoins.

Before I find this site I earned around 20 coin a day, sometimes I was satisfied with 10 coins a day and extraordinary happy with 40, now if I earn 80 coins feel terrible

You need to find hard to reach gyms and far away ones in not so competitive areas. Most of my defenders are in these type of areas and while it was a pain driving and looking around it's worth the investment because some of those have been gyms for 2-3 months now. So in my city with high turnover I'll get 3 or 2 gyms but since I constantly have 7 far away I always collect 70-100 coins. Some nights where I'm lazy I won't even get a gym cause 70 is good enough haha. For me this has been working greatly.

Try travelling to less competitive parts of the city.

Other tips for individual play:

Use vehicles like buses to help you get from one gym or another. Ideally there will be an open space for you otherwise you can't really do much. If you have some sort of metro that runs overground in your city, take that. You pay the fare of one single journey ride (don't know about local prices but I suppose one single journey ride wouldn't cost more than 4 US dollars) and you hop off at every single stop where there's a friendly gym at level 7 and above. Those should stay stable. Once you're done with that stop, hop back on to the train and head towards the next stop.

For team play:

Find mountain trails and take a group of friends (at least 5 of the same team) to knock down an enemy L10 gym and add at least 5 defenders to it.

You will have to get a car/bike to an area that is dominated by your team and get in those gyms. Bus/train whatever you need to do to find your teams "turf".

Then if you can get a few consistent gyms the ones you regularly battle can get you a few more coins on top of the ones you hold daily.

If your area is safe you can do what I do and take all gyms
at night when everyone is sleeping.
