Putting High-Level Heracross in US Gyms

Hi all, wanted to get your input on a matter. I have a Heracross I picked up in Costa Rica at level 15 that I've now walked up to level 30.5. As she is getting into the higher CP ranges I am worrying about placing her in local gyms and getting reported. I have no qualms about putting lower-level Heracross into a gym as it's more obvious I actually traveled there, but am more skeptical about a high-CP one especially as I plan to max her out. Would love to hear some feedback/thoughts.

If someone reports you for this then they have too much time on their hands or just being spiteful.

Enjoy your good catch! Don't let fear of being reported ruin the game for you

I've never reported someone for placing a regional. Even if you had a maxed out Heracross two days after Gen 2 dropped I wouldn't have reported it. People travel and that seems to be the whole point of regionals.

Besides, trainers get reported all the time for blatant violations of the ToS and nothing happens. I'd be shocked if you were reported, and even more shocked if Niantic did anything bad to you.

You can't max it out if you're not walking it...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. A lot of people have legitimately-acquired regionals from outside of their own regions. Niantic wouldn't take a report like that seriously if the only case against you is that you have a mon from a different region.

It might attract attackers to whatever gym you put it in, just for the novelty of fighting something new - so you might not want to put it in a gym you hope will be a stable tower... Have fun with it!

Should be no problem. Also, it is reported to be available in certain areas of the U.S. - specifically south Florida and south Texas. I think it spawns in the Western hemisphere south of 28 degrees north latitude, or thereabouts, which puts it considerably south of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia, but not Texas and Florida.

They will thank you for this. At least, they are gonna have one more seen Pokémon.

Why power up a megahorn one?

Was there for ten days and this was the only one I found with Counter, thought that was good enough since I'm not likely to get a better one anytime soon.
