So, for the duration of the Halloween event I decided to have my Dratini as a buddy Pokémon. The end of the event is 11/1, which I'm assuming includes that day as well (please correct me if I'm wrong). I did math before to plan and as the days passed and have come to the following:

I'm level 26 right now, so I calculated the amount of candy and stardust to upgrade my lv 20 Dratini to lv 27.5 AND evolve it all the way to a Dragonite.

Stardust: 53,500
Candy: 92
Need: 81
Buddy: 405 Km
Halloween: 101.25 Km
Km/Day: 25.3
Candy/Day: 20.25

The Km and candy per day includes the rest of today and also assumes that the 1st is the final day and not the 31st. I'm starting to think that it's a bit unrealistic to accumulate that much candy in the remaining time. I need only 33 candy to be able to evolve to Dragonite, but it would be low 2K or even below that, which is why I wanted more to power him up.

Can I pull this off or nah?

Answers

Just dont upgrade dratini to 27.5 AND evolve as u said. Evolve then upgrade if comes with a good moveset. If you can pull this off, well it depends on you. Good luck.

You might get him evolved, and even un-powered up he's still worth having :)

You'll just have to walk as a buddy the 40 odd k a day (or whatever the max is) after the event :-)

I have same problem with my 2 Snorlaxes.

Every day i need over 20km to get all the candys for both of em and fuck my legs hurt alrdy and still 3 days to go.

Try to get as many 10k eggs as you can. Hope for that dratini and double candy.

I've actually had 4 already and got all crap. I got a magmar, eevee, jynx and omanyte. All my incubators are pretty much done now and I see no point in buying more. I guess I'll just go for the candies to evolve and then if I have time try for some other Pokémon I'm a few candies away for my pokedex.

Don't lose hope. If you're ever gonna buy more incubators, now is definitely the time. I got extremely lucky with one 10 so far. Still time man. A few bucks is worth the risk.

The thing is, I don't see the point in spending more money. Yeah, I can potentially get something good, but most likely not. Also, even if I did, I won't be walking nearly as much to keep up with the eggs. I'm already cutting it close as it is getting enough candy to evolve my dratini.
