I think that this gyrados is a great dragonite attacker, because he resists steel wing, and he doesn't take super affective damage from dragonite's dragon attacks

With that said, lapras is probably better. Lapras has STAB ice moves, and dragonite has a double weakness

Lapras at the same level would definitely be stronger. Does more damage due to higher damage multiplier which more than makes up for Lapras' lower attack stat compared to Gyarados, and also higher stamina, useful if there's multiple Dragonites.

Of course the Gyarados is still useful against Dragonites, but Lapras does a better job.

Definitely Lapras better specialist match up vs Dragonite.

Oh by the way, the picture of the magic carp is wrong for some reason. Very odd game bug.
