So...IT/FB Tyranitar really useless?

I saved candy and 10km eggs for the event...got 6 of them...now they hatched and I got a Snorlax 91% IV with ZH/EQ and a 91% Dratini, the rest was trash...after that I could finally evolve my 98% Dragonair and it got DT/O finally on the third try...maxed it out of course ? unfortunately my Tyranitar 89% got IT/FB...is it really useless and not worth maxing out? What about the Snorlax? I already have a ZH/BS one maxed but standing at 40 candy again. Your advice?

Any tyranitar is a good gym scarecrow, power it up just for the CP placement

ZH/Earthquake was good, but now, not, because of the new addition of Heavy Slam and the buff of Hyper Beam, making Earthquake inferior in most cases, except for Magneton.

I have a 96IV Tyranitar with the same moveset. Iron tail performs better on defense than Bite.

Honestly, I actually find it pretty fun to use. Iron tail on its own is a good move against a lot of pokemon. Any grass/bug/steel pokemon will be surprised by the fire blast. Although, they arent too common in gyms these days.

I say power it up for higher Gym placement.
