Forretress vs Defenders Tier List

I’d think Forretress would make the list and off the top of my head I can’t think of why not…so why isn’t he listed in any of the tiers?

Low CP and double weakness to fire. Normally only one of these are allowed for it to still make the list.

But wouldn’t/shouldn’t the fire weakness be offset by the frequency of Vaporeons and Gyarados in a gym’s line up?

No. This would probably be on the bottom of the gym anyway, so people wouldn't even have to switch pokemon twice to attack it.

Have you experienced with prestiging? I'm sitting on several hatched Pineco's ("hurray") and have plenty of candy to bring up a couple - since my 2 Scizor's got Bullet Punch/NightSlash I'm hoping for better moves from these guys...

I think he does well. Not a fast attacker but I like mine, a Struggle Bug/Heavy Slam move set. Thought I’d prefer Bug Bite but not complaining with my guy. I don’t know how the other charge move fair on him.

BB / HS is a good prestiging set and works well as a tank into Snorlax or Rhydon

Fire wrecks him... and he is low cp.

I would agree the biggest issue is his cp, and the double weakness to fire, with the buff to fire attacks, makes it even worse. It's not like you can set him above a Blissey or something.

That being said, I think he is underrated, especially on offense. I have a 1700 cp one with bb/hs that I use on offense quite a bit. I use it against Snorlax and Blissey (obviously not the really high level ones.) He is really tanky on offense and superior to Scizor (bp/ih variety.) I haven't faced on defense...
