You wouldn't be able to bring this 'nite to a competitive CP with that few candies. Adding the fact that its IVs are low and it probably has the worst moveset for a dragonite, I would save the candy and the stardust for evolving a dratini of higher level/IV or catching a better Dragonite.

Agreed with /u/noxify. It is not worth it to power this guy up. Walk your dratini or this dragonite to get more candies.

I have one with 71% IVs and has same moveset. And I need to say that its not even fun using him in gyms because of SW. I am still powering him up because I invested so much stardust but if I knew this site before I evolved him, I wouldn't waste tons of stardust on him.
BTW your candies and stardust still aren't enough for fully powering him up. You should check it before making your decision

To make it powerful enough you need a lot of candies, so if you don't have them, try first to collect candies and if u don't get a better one with higher cp by this time, u can power it up

Dude! Its really up to you. Which ever makes you happy DO IT!!! Its a Dragonite after all. Its everyone's dream. BTW... what are its move set? As I personally prefer "Move set" over IV's but of course Rank A move set + great IV's are the best as preferred by Hardcore Players (I prefer for it also when time comes that I will get one).

I feel you dude...Its really hard to decide. I'm at level 28 and I maxed out my 42% Dragonite w/ Steelwing/DragonPulse and is now at 2750CP. Others might think I'm crazy but this dragonite of mine has been on the Gym for more than a month. Another Dragonite of mine is 73% w/ SW/DP moveset at 2481CP still currently defending another gym for more than month. I don't regret at all since again, It's a Dragonite and will always be a Dragonite. I just love Dragonites!!!

0% Dragonites in the real sense still has higher base stats than OTHER Pokémon's that has 100% IV's. Dragonite's Max possible CP at 100% IV's is 3500. My 42% will reach approximately 3300+ CP and my 73% at about 3400++ CP... see how high its CP would still be compared to 100% IV Lapras, Arcanine, Exeggutor that will max out at 2900+ CP. Even 100% IV snorlax will max out at 3100 CP.

That being said, your low IV Dragonite will still be on top of the GYM than those 9 other Pokémon's defending the GYM with you as long as you have Rank A defensive move set. Not unless if you all 10 Dragonites defending the Gym together.

This is what I learn from the previous Dragonite Thread with my dear Hardcore friends here (hehe):

-0% Dragonite is strong, but 50% one is obviously stronger than the latter, and 100% Dragonite being the strongest. (Comparing Dragonites vs Dragonites)

-0% Dragonite is still at its strongest among any other 100% IV Pokémon's in the current metagame.

-100% Dragonite will always be weak vs a lower IV LAPRAS!!! Hahahahaha :P

-You can still beat and take down a 100% Dragonite if you have a Pokémon that has Ice Skills (if your great in dodging & timing).

-0% Dragonite is as rare and hard to find as 100% one which means 40% to 90% IV's are commonly distributed (I guess anything in between is fairly decent enough).

-Lastly, just make sure you don't get hit by Dragon Pulse whether its a 0% to 100% IV Dragonite as it will surely make you suffer!!!

Hope it helped. Chow!
