Slowbrow Confusion/Psy or Confusion/Icebeam?

What's your favourite for defense?

Avantage of Psychic is stab, slightly quicker CoolDown, and effective against poison type (Venusaur, Victreebel, Vileplume).
Ice beam does less damage but effective against Plant type + Flying + Dragon : Dragonitex2 (plus unlikely Pidgeot and Legendary pokemons in the future)

Unfortunately, in Pokemon Go the bonus for STAB is the same as the bonus for weakness, so the main benefit for choosing pokemon with moves based on weakness is purely mind games. "Oops! it has a move that is super effective against me! I should switch."

The comment about Exeggutor is a good point though.

I would take confusion + icebeam.

I dont like the idea that exeggutors is resistant for all my attacks. (if both spychics)
Also because i like to give max punishment for dragonites and ice beam does it.

Confusion gives nice punishment for waters and ices while resisting their attacks.

There is something I dont understand , In defenders tier list Recomended move set for slowbro is Confusion/psychic but the recomended moveset for golduck is Confusion/Icebeam

Both are water psychic pokemons I dont get why icebeam is better in golduck and not in slowbro.

There's a mechanic in the game called STAB where they get a +25% damage bonus if they have the same type as the move they are using. Since Slowbro is psychic he gets +25% damage from the move psychic while Golduck doesn't, that's why its rated higher for him.

They both nice, Psychic prolly the best defensive attacks in the game, Ice Beam covers the water weakness. Can I have both! Slowbro is my favorite poke!
