Easter event prediction
I'm assuming this is the next big event they will have. Unlike the water event I'm assuming this one will be something like Christmas or Halloween. What do we think they will give us? Is it double candy or double xp? It seems like they alternate between the two of them.
Also I'm saving up 10k eggs hoping they do something specific with eggs for easter. Any thoughts?
How soon do they start the events before the actually holiday?

I really want the double candies...I don't think Stardust would make me spend on incubators to hatch more eggs honestly.
(sitting on over 700k dust now).
Also, with the "gym rework" planned, it maybe a lot harder (like if you had to touch every gym you are in to get credit) to get Pokecoins so I don't think I'd be willing to spend them on Incubators just to hatch more eggs for stardust.
Candies...definitely need those.
1- Half the usual distance to hatch eggs.
2- Lucky eggs will last 1 hour instead of 30 mins.
3- Incubators and Lucky eggs half price.
4- Much higher chances to get 10 km eggs from pokestops.
5- Double the candies (and stardust?) from Pokemons hatched from eggs.
6- Some special offers on the shop?

I have considered it, it is something related to eggs and all the "save your candies" things. But I don't think it will happen during easter. Mainly because that is "losing" one update for them. They could make some random event with 2xlucky egg duration, half hatches, double dust etc and introduce breeding on a future update, that way all their players will be happy and they don't have to think and make another "update".
Imagine the situation, we get easter event, a month after it we get breeding and the following month we get gym rebalance. Two updates and one event in two months, lot of new content and features and everyone happy. If they introduce breeding during easter and let us without any more updates or events for 2 months until gym rebalance (just example dates), all people will be mad again and they will be on pressure to release new content fast.
that depends, we got water event for bring up shinys which gyarados was the most iconic
dunno if they will make an event again just because they can, that is too much spoon feed too for players they will be like ''no event i dont play''
but for sure iam expecting an event for another big update but not expecting anything this time, and if they do will be something where they can get moneyz from it
I agree but you also have to consider that without events there is not much "gameplay" at this point. We need more events and more features until the new gym system comes out, the current one will not keep people playing, it has been proofed, they need to remove cheaters and encourage people to enter gyms since low levels, give more dust and xp to take down gyms and encourage cooperative gameplay. Make battles more fun and rewarding. I only see more people playing around during events so that shows they are one of the few things that bring back players, even for a short period of time.
It would be stupid not making one during a holiday like Easter, Niantic would lose tons of $. There should be an event each month, even short events like double xp or dust weekend, increased 10k eggs fridays, free incubator on 10th stop of Wednesday, etc...Events are fun and make people more active on the game, not every day of course, but once a month they should be done.

hoping for double candy have been saving 6 10km eggs (keeping three positions rotating).
