Rocket Takeovers are arguably some of the most exciting recurring events that we get in Pokemon Go. Not only do we get a chance to TM away the accursed Frustration, we also get a new set of Shadow Pokemon to add to the list. Well, this time is no different, as the Ground and Fire Type Metas are definitely going to shift as a direct result!

- Rockets will appear more frequently at Pokestops and in Rocket Balloons
- Players will be able to TM Frustration away on Shadow Pokemon
- Field Research will be available that grants Fast/Charged TMs, and Event-themed Pokemon encounters
- Timed Research will be available that grants encounters with Event-themed Pokemon
- A $2.00 Paid Research line will also be available that will reward the following:
- Six Mysterious Components
- One Super Incubator
- One Rocket Radar
- A Pawniard encounter
- A Special Research line will be available that grants a Super Rocket Radar, leading to an encounter with Shadow Groudon for the first time.
- Shadow Mewtwo will be available in Shadow Raids on March 30 and March 31
- The 12km Egg pool will be updated, and among them Sandile will be available as a Shiny Pokemon for the first time
- Several new Shadow Pokemon will be available for the first time
- A Selection of Shadow Pokemon will be available via Raids
