Umbreon/Espeon Top IV or Top CP?
Similar to the question I asked earlier in the Q&A. Do I want to save my highest IV Eevees to roll the dice at the hope of getting even more Vaporeons and simply use the Umb/Esp naming trick to get a high IV Umbreon/Espeon, or go for the most "definitive" (i.e. highest IV) versions of Umbreon/Espeon?

All you need to take you Vaporeons are 3-4 pretty good grass Pokemon (Venusaur/Vileplume with RL+SB, Tangela with VW+PW, or Victreebell with RL+LB) and maybe 1 or 2 electric type (Jolteon/Raichu/Electabuzz) with preferably electric movesets with multiple charge holds (DC, TP, TB) I think the whole Vaporeon/Gyarados thing is overrated. I almost love seeing them because they're so easy to take out with a solid grass/electric team. All Pokemon can and will eventually be defeated, no matter the CP or spot they have in a gym, I don't think it's THAT huge of an advantage having the top spot. Anyone who attacks a gym is more than likely going to attack it to defeat the whole gym and take it over. I know I wouldn't attack an opposing gym just to remove 1 or 2 and waste a few revives and potions get anything out of it. Anyway, didn't mean to strain from the question lol. I just like to push the use of Pokemon other than the same ones seen over and over again. Umbreon is one of my favorite Pokemon and my favorite Eeveelution so from the get go I couldn't wait to train a strong one as soon as he was released even though he has a pretty low Max CP. But no joke since I've started placing him in gyms he's always held a spot for no less than under 2-3 days. He's hard to defeat with his 250 DEF and 190 HP stats and he doesn't really have a bad moveset ....well this kinda went longer than I thought and probably could give a little more feedback but I'm not trying to bore anyone to death so I hope that if you did read it all the way through that you at least got some of what I was trying to explain lol. Happy Training!
that'd be true if all you had to worry about was opposition team members but shaving is common in many areas and anyone in the bottom 3 is vulnerable.
but agree vape is overrated
personally a quality espeon is a good generalist attacker and i use mine against blissey with decent success I would go IV espeon and power up , CP umbreon (espeon with psybeam might be a little squishy but can be surprisingly costly to attack into and a dark mon is good for this)
