If a Water weakness shows up, you can bet that Primal Kyogre will show up as well.
Among the Mega (and Primal) options for this raid, Primal Kyogre is arguably the best option. Not only does it resist Mega Blaziken's powerful Fire Type move options and boost the player's team even while not on the field, it also provides a valuable boost to the raid group' Water Type attacks as well. Water is a pretty common counter-type, so this makes Primal Kyogre a very valuable Pokemon in this case.

If a Ground weakness shows up, you can bet that Primal Groudon will show up as well.
On paper, Primal Groudon is every bit as good as Primal Kyogre in this raid, sporting the same stats, the same resistances, and a moveset that's extremely comparable to its Water-type counterpart. However, Primal Groudon drops off a bit in practice for one reason; its Ground Type boost isn't as valuable as Primal Kyogre's Water Type boost. Yes, we have a number of strong Ground Types available at this point in the game, but they tend to end up overshadowed by Water and Psychic Types, meaning they will tend to not be quite as common. Primal Groudon is a great option in-and-of itself, but its additional utility is definitely a step down when compared to the other top options here.

Mega Alakazam has a DPS total similar to the two Primals, but substantially less TDO. It's got objectively great performance, but why is it so high on the list when compared to the titans above? Because Mega Alakazam buffs Shadow Mewtwo while on the field. This alone makes it competitive with the super-ancient monsters above, and make it very worth considering depending on your raid group's plans.
