Article by Brian Tein

It's been a while since Go Fest 2022 and its headliner Pokemon; Shaymin. So long, in fact, that many have probably forgotten that the normal way that these things go is that the headliner Mythical Pokemon is given out to players in a Special Research line.... well, it's time to rectify this issue! We've got a new announcement from Niantic, and Shaymin is finally getting its global release!

Starting April 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. local time, players will be able to start the Special Research story "Grass and Gratitude" in order to claim their own Shaymin.

Best of luck, and I hope that you manage to score a good one!

Gratitude is spreading globally!

The Special Research story Grass and Gratitude will be available to all Trainers for free starting during Sustainability Week, starting April 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m. local time! Trainers who complete the Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin.

It turns out that Shaymin has been sighted in the area, but Professor Willow needs your help to track it down! Assist Professor Willow, and perhaps the gratitude you show on the way will be key to finding this elusive Pokémon.
