What was the first Pokemon you were overly excited for acquiring, that now seems foolish looking back?

For me it was a Electabuzz. I ran a fairly long way and texted my friends over my "rare" find.

That and a Nidoqueen with PJ:EQ. Couldn't wait to put her in a gym and show off.

Still good, I know, but I got it only one week before the nerf. Powered him up like crazy and then one week later he wasn't optimal anymore.

I feel your pain. After 7 Zams with Confusion I finally got PC/P the night before gen II dropped. I didn't even get a chance to try it out before the nerf :(

Same here. I caught a 97% PC/P Alazazam in the wild but he was only level 1. I used up all my stardust to max it out to lvl 35, but two weeks later Gen 2 dropped and... trash. :/
