58000 Prestige?
Just saw this on a nearby gym. So is it finally possible to prestige a gym further than 52k? Does it even matter or is the lowest mon still kicked out immediately if one was defeated? Or is it just a bug?

After the first mon is defeated, the gym goes to 50k.
It's just the 2k bonus to put a new mon in the gym.
Let's say you prestige a gym to 50k with only one mon defending. It'll leave 9 open slots. When more people come to defend and the slots get filled, the gym will go to 68k prestige, but any prestige after 50k counts as 1k.
No, there are still only 10 spots.
The first person in the gym spent the time to raise it all the way to 50,000 prestige (probably some sort of bubblestrat) before anyone else joined the gym. With each pokemon added, it gains an extra 2,000 prestige, but as soon as any prestige is taken off, it drops back down to 50,000.
