Pokestop items

I saw the section on the probability of getting different types of items but I swear what you get is based on what you need.
Whenever I need pokeballs I get tons of potions and revives. When I have a lot of fainted Pokémon revives are very rare. My friends find this as well. Do any others see this?

Sounds like a psychological "trick" your brain is playing on you, nothing more. Kind of like when that red light lasts longer than normal when you're late, but in reality it just doesn't.

I get it though, last week I had a not so good gym run and paid for it for a few days as I tried to get my moms revived/healed.

Good luck!

Agreed with above. I have a butt load of pots but I want some revives so I can take on a gym with +7 defenders but revives seem more or less rarer now (think there was an article/rumor on how revive rates are lower since more ppl are gym active now).
But at the same time, I need a lot of pokeballs and I don't seem to run out after I do a short round of ~6 stops (meaning I use up around the same amount as I get from the 6 every day).

Try to switch your attackers when they are nearly run out of HP so that you don't have to use revives. I use this method and save a lot of revives. I only have to use revives when the game so lags that I can't switch my attackers at the right time.

Wife and I experience the same thing.

Revive drop rate dropped quite a bit when they raised the ball drop rate a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure of that. Still get plenty of potions.
