The days are shorter, the air has a chill, and the green is slowly leaving the trees. Do you know what that means? It means that you probably live in the northern hemisphere, but it also means that Fall is here. And what's the crown-jewel of Fall? Halloween! And today, we have our first taste of the haunting to come, as Litwick, a Ghost Type Pokemon from Unova/Generation 5, is finally lighting the way to its very own Community Day. This could be a fun one!

- Litwick will spawn en-masse and with an enhanced Shiny rate
- Any Lampent evolved into Chandelure during event hours and up to five hours after will learn the new Ghost Type Charged Move, Poltergeist.
- At 140 base power for Trainer Battles and Raids alike, this will likely be a high energy cost move. Expect more information as we learn more about what it can do!
- 3x XP, 2x Candy, and 2x Chance for XL Candy for all Catches during event hours
- Lures and Incense will last for 3 hours
- +1 Special Trade, and trades will cost 50% less Stardust to make during event hours
- Snapshots will result in Litwick photobombs
- A special $1 Paid Research line titled "Trick of the Light" will be available in the shop
- Special in-person Four Star raids will be available from 5:00 p.m until 10:00 p.m. local time. Completing one of these raids will cause Litwick to spawn at a greater number around the gym that held the raid for 30 minutes. Spawns resulting from this bonus will have an increased Shiny rate.

After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Litwick to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

You can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used to join these raids.

Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles
Once you successfully complete a four-star Raid Battle against Lampent, Litwick will begin to appear in a 300-meter radius around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!*
*Litwick that appear under these circumstances will have the same chance of appearing as a Shiny Pokémon as those that appear during October’ Community Day’s three-hour event period.
