First perfect IV

Lucky enough to catch my first ever perfect pokemon. Lvl 30 Tentacruel 2085 CP with Acid and Hydro Pump. Is he worth putting in a gym instead of a higher CP vap or other common defender? Around me being highest defender isn't too important.

Sorry, no. The low cp will constantly get you fainted out. You'll be reviving more than the time it spends in the gym. None the less, congrats on your perfect! ?

But if you got some low tier gyms, go for it!

Agree with GGTW. I tried using Cruel as defender. I think he performs well enough but low CO means he is the first to go. Just doesn't stay in gyms long enough to make it worth it unless your area has a some stable low CP gyms with little turn over.

That thing is a wicked attacker. My IV80 CP2020 A/HP has smashed hundreds of higher CP mons out of gyms. It and A/SB Victrebell are very nice to have.

Wait until CP will no longer be the dominant factor in gyms, and then he'll be a pretty awesome defender. I'd already use it as an attacker for now, he's very bulky and feels kinda like a mini-Vaporeon but cooler.

tentacruel with blizzard wrecks dragonite like hell.. its always my go to pokemon to use as prestiger, after slowbro.

I put him and slowbro in the gyms around my home even if i am at the bottom because its very good defender and if its kicked out i put him again tomorow
