A little late to talk about it on our end, but the Hisuian Discoveries event is almost here! This event focuses on the mysterious region of Hisui and the Pokemon that once inhabited this long-forgotten land. We've got new Pokemon and several bonuses to cover, so let's take a look at what Hisui has to offer!
Hisuian Discoveries
What Is Hisui?
Anyone who's played Pokemon Go (or Pokemon in general) is familiar with the concept of regions and generations. However, Hisui is something that's a bit of a grey-area when it comes to both. Despite the fact that we've already had Hisuian Formes released previously, here's a very quick run-down of what exactly this unique region is:
To put it simply, Hisui is the ancestral name of the Sinnoh region, the name of the land long before it was fully settled by more modern people. First introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, This region was home to many Pokemon, including sub-species and evolutions lost to time for reasons not-yet explained. For these reasons, Hisui is a bit of a unique case when it comes to the qualifiers of Region and Generation; as it's technically Sinnoh, which is noted for being the region of Generation 4, but it's also a part of Generation 8 due to when the game that introduced it was released.
With the super-abridged history lesson out of the way, let's see what this event brings.
