New android version broke the game?
So, the update made its way to the Play Store, I updated it and I immediately regret my decision.
Battery usage has doubled. Pokestops now takes a long time to spin/show the items. The pokemons nearby randomly disappear, like when you're going too fast in a car. Same goes for sightings. Egg screen is messed up and freezes the game sometimes. And it goes on...
I've already reinstalled, but I'm still having the same problems. Anyone else experiencing these or other problems with the new version?

I have not tested a lot the new battery improvements because during week days I play only an hour or so, but I can confirm that for me the nearby keeps disappearing like I am going too fast, and it makes me worry that Niantic could think that I am cheeting, I not gettint the going too fast message tho so don't know what is happening.
I will send them an email, all of you that have this problems let them know so they are aware.
Btw I am on Android 7.1 and my phone is a One Plus 3T, never had this nearby problem before until this update.
The stability issue and 'disappearing nearby' could be server load.
With this event there will be lots of players logging on that have not been on in a while...and the maps/scanner apps will all be generating more load too, for all the part time players using them.
I honestly think that there are more bot accounts for scanners and maps than there are legit accounts actually playing sometimes.
