morning for me (9:40 am as I type), drive to two parks with lakes and near a river, no dratini. Thsoe are places where occasionally I caught dratini. I did not get out last night after event started so I don't know if there was indeed more dratini right after event started.

I never saw a single dratini. I live in Florida and work night shift. I was out on my bike from midnight to 3:30am. I caught about 40 magicarp (no shiny), a couple Qwilfish, a wild Lapras (my 3rd wild caught Lapras in 35 levels), bunch of seels, three omanytes, and a few other water mons. But not a single dratini.

So that was maybe a régional issu. I stayed outside till midnight. I m in France. I caught 22 dratini in a 3km large area. Never saw that. And this morning not à single one . That s weird.

I believe is niantic mistake at first which thought dratini was belong to water type, while in fact it is a dragon, which live in water biome. The event clearly states that the water pokemon spawns will increase, and dratini is not water type.

Yep, same here... Glad I stayed out last night (currently 9am) and got about 100+ Dratini candy.

Caught only two dratinis as I thought I had the whole week to take advantage of this opportunity. This is sad to hear.

Oh yeah Idk I saw more Dratini than usual, but they're usual in my biome. I was hoping younger levels would have the chance at more Dratini.

I spent a lot of time at the river and found one Dratini, nothing unusual.

Nope, no dratini...lots of wooper and marill, and 1 Lapras that ran.
But I will call it a good day anyway.

I can confirm this issue. Capture 450 dratini candys in 4 hours, THIS IS INSANE, 23.30 the bug ends.

I am really envious. I evolved my second dragonite one week ago, and i walked and collected for it 2-3 month.

Yesterday, in the evening, i felt a bit sick, so i decided to stay at home and play the piano instead of going out, (knowing about the event lasting for one week) and so i did not get a single dratini.

I am envious and i am not really able to join your pleasure or even to congratulate. I regard this as a mistake by niantic, that should not have happened.

Yes...this a mistake, but...my candys are here, enough to build a 2 new Dragonites and power up my other 3, sorry for you.

Definitely were at least 50% more Dratini out yesterday, in & out of biomes, but it stopped over the late night hours.

It could've been Niantic trying to get players active on behalf of the Festival, could've been a mistake on their part, could've been a surge do to user / trainer activity. Don't know, but seen it, you guys aren't crazy, lol.

Welp....so begins the great Quillfish deluge of '17.

The Dratini of last night that were more common than usual here but were not super common seem to be gone as others describe here....BUT I just caught my first ever wild Lapras completely out of it's normal biome in a standard water spot.

Not a single Dratini. Normally there tend to be 1-2 per hour. Today none. Not Lapras or Shiny in the water biome, too. But two guys told me yesterday there were like 15 per hour from 10 to 12 p.m. Really pissed that I didn't get my ass out there and that it was in the middle of the night in Europe...

The cluster spawn nest near the lake changed to Chinchou. Like there weren't enough before and not enough in the whole town now.

For me that event really sucks. I have lots of the water mons already and cannot even catch some Eevees anymore...

I try to get the best out of this event and IMO, it's getting as many Magikarp candy as possible and encountering as many as possible. This way you'll have enough to evolve a shiny when you get one. And the more Magi you hunt, the bigger the chance of encountering a shiny one!

This is what the event is all about for me as well. Plus the hope to encounter Lapras.

I live in a grass/water biome (central europe) and I was in Dratini heaven right after the event started. Usually I would get about one or two in 4 hours and yesterday I caught about 10 in the same amount of time.
Sad thing that it was over when I woke up this morning. Got a few Dragonites already so I can't complain tho.

I caught four in about 15 minutes last night but didn't see any this morning. That would back up the theory that it was an error or just a short-lived Dratini bonus! I partly wish I'd got out of bed and fetched that Dragonair on sightings :-)

I don't feel bad for anyone who has seen more than 5 dratini since August....

I live in a big city with some major waterways...yesterday afternoon the Dratini spawn was ar least 5x normal. Then it stopped.

Yep, by the time I got off work, there were no dratini on my route home. Normally there is at least 1. So for this event there are LESS dratini out here in my hunting area.

Yesterday evening. South east of Paris, France.
Insane concentration of Dratini !!
